Busy week part X...

(tags: )

Very busy week -> zero lessons followed... :-/

Monday wasn't that hard, just the usually stuff at VTK. In the evening, we had a fire drill: very good one, everyone was out of the building in a new time record. It was the last one this year, so the next time the alarm goes of, it's real.

Tuesday we had an information evening about VTK and being a board member of VTK. I'm going for "external relations", but I heard somebody else'll do it too. So it'll be a very hard time to get enough votes.

After that, we went with a few people of the student representation to a very good restaurant, Café Theatre for a very good meal (at the bill of the university of course ;-)) and a discussion about the elections of the new rector of our university. Very nice evening, lots of nice people :-D Being a student representant, I love it! B-)

Wednesday was a day of working for our Jobfair at VTK. Driving the VTKar the whole day, getting some materials from everywhere to build our jobfair. At the evening, we also had a meeting about our WVS, workgroup free software. We're going to organise some linux lessons from a liveCD. Normally, it'll be the newest Ubuntu. Demonstrating Gnome, Gimp, Firefox, Thunderbird (or Evolution), eventually Beagle,... Let's hope I can find some funders for the CD's. You're invited thunderday the 14th of April @ The Plateau.

On thunderday there was the jobfair itself. Welcoming the arriving companies and helping them cary their materials and building their booth in the morning, cleaning up everything in the evening. Jobfair is one of our most prestigous events at VTK: companies are giving presentations in the morning in 5 (or 6) rooms simultaniously and in the afternoon there is the jobfair itself with booths from many companies in a big room. Every student can look for a job their, and the companies are hunting for new people. It's nice to bring them together :-) Because I'm not in my last year now, I looked intensively for internships. Let's hope I can get a nice one. I also informed me a little bit on getting a doctorate.

Friday was the day of sleeping out (the former days I didn't sleep much) and looking for a present for a friend who's birthday is monday. Bought some nice things and also a little present for my girlfriend. She'll be very curiously if she reads this now, because she won't get it before sunday :-p
